Small scale model of giant calligraphy on the interior wall of a church.

The text is the name Almighty God gave Himself to Moses: I am who I am , "Ego sum qui sum" in Latin. The idea is to sink massive oak beams into the masonry of a 6 meter high stone wall; the wall is uneven (in the style of ancient medieval walls) and the sculpted wooden sections protrude from the plaster in a way that constantly varies in depth, like ships swaying about on an undulating ocean. Note how the upper part of the final S cuts across the circular stained glass window.
